Ferbane Shop Front Project (Sharon Murphy & Claudia Boese)

Sharon Murphy completed a 3 month residency at Belmont Mill Studios in Offaly. During this period she co-curated and co-exhibed her work in Ferbane village, 5 miles from the mill.

Sharon collaborated with German artist Claudia Böse, the international recipient of the bursary. The two artists had been occupying two disused shopfronts on the main street since mid October, swapping and changing the work on display every 7-10 days until the end of November. Ferbane library was also a venue used within the village.

This project was organised by both artists to engage with the local community, highlighting work work being undertaken at the Belmont Mill Studios.
